I woke up this morning to check the clock radio. It was off. A stray I had pulled out of the pound last April was playing and pulled the plug. :D

Norma Jean

She acts feral, and is slowly taming. I can't believe a cat that could pass as a purebred Turkish Angora is feral! I'm glad she is playing more. Right now she is visciously chasing a ball. Yes, one eye is green, the other blue. No, she is not genetically deaf like some blue-eyed white cats. Besides, it's the males that go deaf.

Look at the first cat at http://www.turkishangora.ca/antalyacattery.html to see if she looks like him.

She is so pretty! She doesn't look like a stray at all. That's funny about the alarm clock. I don't have any cats. Actually, I have my first dog. She is a 4 month old golden retriever. But, I had a lot of cats(not at one time, though) when I was young and a little over a year ago, my family (mom and dad) "lost" our cat that my brother had given me for my 16th birthday. I am now 26. I still miss him so much. His name was Jordan and I was totally in love with that cat! Up until we got him, all of our animals were outside animals and I was so excited when my parents let me keep him inside! He got very sick and was in and out of the vets for months. Our vet is a very close friend and she was trying to do everything she could for him. They could not find out what was wrong with him. He started vomitting all of the time, not eating, and was always tired. In the end, our vet went as far to do exploritory surgery on his entire body and couldn't find a thing. She finally recommended that we let him go. My family was so sad...even our vet cried! Just writing this makes me tear up...still. I wish that i had a pic to post..I will ty to find some negatives at my parents house. Some good news though, my husband and I found a stray and gave it to my mom and later she found a stray and took it in too. She loves them so much...I will try to find some pics of them too....I didn't mean for this to go so long!!

Totally looks like it! What a gorgeous cat. So it's the males that are deaf most the time? that is interesting!

Norma Jean has had the guest bedroom mostly to herself this week. Earl, who is twice her size, is in the adoption cage.

Norma Jean got a mouse with a squeaking microchip. She was wrestling and tossing it, until it landed in the water bowl and silenced it. :D
