Alright...first post...:)

Well...I just got two kittens

http://www.gotapex.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=64492

(Here are some pictures of them...:))

One of them has a pretty bad eye discharge....I don't know what that means....but I know it can't be good. I'm actually going to bring her to the vet tomorrow to see what is up, but I still wanted to ask ya'll.

TIA

Hey GG! Welcome to Talk Pets! (I'm dbax over at G|A).

Spencer the Lion is real knowledgeable about cats - so hopefully he can answer your question!

If you get a chance, go introduce yourself in the introductions forum.

GraingerGuy,

Welcome! About all I can do is to encourage you to see the vet right away.

Three years ago, Garbo (pictured in sig below) had eye problems after getting a coronavirus from a kitten. I waited until it was almost too late. Six weeks of intensive medication prevented a pea-sized green ulcer from taking out one of her eyes. It's healed to the point that the only way you can tell the difference is it glows a little greener at night. She needed five different medications a day.

I can't say what is going on with your kitten, but suffice to say, it's best to treat it before it becomes a big problem.

Well...the vet said that he doesn't have a cold or a upper respetory infection...so that's good. She just gave me some eyedrops for him. I also had to get some cream because he has ringworm on his ear.

And....I also found out that she is not a she....she is a he...:) Oops.....:p

that it's not a cold or respiratory infection--I hope he's cleared up real soon!

And he is a he and not a she, ey?! LOL! The only way I knew when Abby was a little kitten is because she's a calico--I had a very high chance that she's a female because of that!!! And Garfield was around a year when I rescued him--and it was "quite" obvious! They'll fool ya!!!

So now whatcha gonna call him?!

Glad he's okay! :)

Glad to hear a clean bill of health for the kitty! Kitten are vunerable as their immune systems are growing up. A couple of common names for calicos is Patches and Cali.
