Kitten eats like a PIG!!!!!

I have a seperate area in my room for my kitten. Her own litter box, food, etc. She has discovered the big cats food and eats it ALLLLL day. She hass no bathroom problems or sickness from eating their food, but golly, she can EAT!! We try and take the food dish out of there while the big cats are out, but she is certainly the first one there when we put it back. She does not eat her kitten food any longer. How often are kittens supposed to eat? The vet told me 3 times per day. She only nibbles at the big cat food though, so maybe I shouldn't be so concerned, but thought I'd get others feedback on similar experience. Thanks!

Trust me in my experience it's normal. Kittens can't resist adult cat food, although I also found that my adult cats loved the kitten food and were getting fat eating it!? My youngest, Darwin, basically grew up on adult food because once he tried it he wouldn't eat anything else. I tried everything to stop him except isolation from the adults which i would not do. A lot of my friends with cats have had similar experiences. Don't worry too much about it, as long as it doesn't cause any "toilet" problems it should be alright.
