Newborn kitten bad habits

I recently became the surrogate mother of 3 newborn kittens.

While the kittens were rooting around in their little nest looking for something to nurse on they --err-- found each other. Or rather each others bottoms.

I'm scared that they might get sick and die from it or something. Does anybody know of a way I can stop them from nursing on each other without having to seperate them?

If they are getting fed well they will probably be OK.

I would suggest that you phone rescues in your area to see how foster mom's would care for kittens like this.

I've also read somewhere that putting something called Bitter Apple on their bums will stop them. Do you think it would be a good idea?
