Cranberry Juice And bladder infection

I was reading on the net how to prevent bladder infections and it said keep your grass short....as when the dog squats it touches the grass and can get bacteria. Also trimk hairs around their so that bacteria can not stay on it. And also cranberry juice. It make the urine acidic so bacteria has a harder time clinging onto the wall of the bladder and it makes it less painful for the dog to urinate when it has one. And also kills some of the bacteria cause the bacteria likes to be in alkalid place not acidic. Anyways it said good luck trying to get your dog to drink it as not to many like the taste. They said you are better off putting some in water. Well put a little bit in Abby's bowl and (straight) and drank it faster than she does water and sat there asking for more. lol. Silly dog. I can't even drink the stuff! Ayways we are off to the vet. I will tell you about it later! Anyone ever use cranberry juice to help with bladder infections for dogs....i know it works in humans.
