Soggy Treacle ;)

This morning I woke up to find a soggy head being pushed under my hand, demanding attention from me. How dare I sleep

So after initally going *yuk*, I stroked the cat. I opened my eyes and watch as Treacle !!! crawled further up the bed, until he was lying on my pillow, demanding hugs !!! :HappyCat:

As you may or may not know, Treacle though well loved, isn't one for asking attention. I think the 10 month chill out monster has struck again !!!!

Was Treacle feral? Does not sound like it now.

No Chuck, he was not feral just abandoned and seperated from his sibling, then abandoned by his 'new family'.

So he was very upset when we got him but I believe giving him a combination of love & space helped him feel safe again.

This is the first time in 10 months that he approached us for attention and I feel very happy.

It's still an accomplishment as being dumped would be stressful. My hat goes off to you.

Thankyou

It is funny I am struggling to type as I have a highly affectionate vocal tabby (Tigs) climbing over and around me... bless.

But I still in shock from the 5 minutes of attention I received from Treacle this morning

Mewdonna (white Turkish Angora) will cuddle at night, rub against me and the mouse, but will fight tooth-and-nail if I dare pick her up.

Mewdonna is fairly new to your home, so she has come so far in a short time.

When we first got Tiger her attitude was "touch me and die." Now, she wakes me up two in the morning just to be pet.

Having four cats waking me up every night to be pet, is very bitter sweet.

To be honest, Garbo is the only one of my six cats I know to have been a complete feral. Mewdonna looks so much like a purebred Turkish Angora it's hard to believe she was on the streets all her life. Got a little orange guy other than Spencer that while he does not quite let me come to him, was already neutered.

I went shopping with my sister today and I bought several catnip plants.

Some are safely under plastic on the kitchen window and the other two I just placed on a small tray on the living room floor for immediate destruction.

Most of the cat herd have had a nibble except Sandy, who is scared of the plants ..poor baby he is scared of most of the world.

Treacle ran around in a mad way and then ran up to me, jumped into my lap and laid down across my lap and stayed there for 10 minutes, accepting cuddles

I *think* Treacle has decided that he wants affection from us. My heart is just melting

I think Treacle made a good decision.

Spencer may have bootlegged some catnip judging from his behavior.
