Car harnesses

I was just wondering what yall do with your dog when yall go in the car. Maya is getting too big for her crate that fits in the car so I need something else. I was looking into a car harness but was wondering if they work and what brand yall recommend. Thanks!

The pet stores all sell car harness according to weight, Duke is 85lbs or more now. But I have always used a harness for all of my dogs. I have the old Geo Tracker convertable and he loves to ride with the top off I put him in his harness and in the back seat it feeds through the seat belt so He can enjoy himself and look out and I can drive with out a large dog in my face. I always carrie water and a fold up water dish for him. And just like an infant I never leave him alone in the car
I hate when I go out to the store and I see a dog that is in a car with the window just left open a little, a car heats up so fast when it is hot out. I even keep a first aid kit for him in the car so when we go to the lake or woods if something should happen I am ready. In fact I have an extra leash and collar as part of Dukes first aid kit.

We had a car harness (or doggie seat belt) for Kelley. It worked really well. Kept her in the back seat. It probable saved her from getting hurt when we were in a car accident. She wasn't thrown when the accident happend.
