Talk Pets! Featured Pet for 07/23/2005 ![]() Name: Digger Age/Breed:5 yrs, Ferret Talk Pets! Member Name: Shadow Shadow says:
Digger, is my sweet,
little baby and is very loved. She has touched the hearts of
anyone who has met her. She has always been a silly little girl.
We got Digger when she was 10 weeks old (she is five years old
now) and I can't remember life without her. Recently she started
coughing and wheezing at first the emergency vet thought she had
a respiratory infection, but she didn't get better with her
meds. We went to a vet who was experienced with ferrets and she
is pretty sure she has cancer. My poor little baby who used to
wake me up at two in the morning wanting to play has to be woken
up in the mornings for her meds. She seems to being going
downhill every day and I don't know how much time I have left
with her. This is such a hard part of being a pet owner. You
take such good care of your furbabies, you feed and water them,
cuddle with them and love them with all your heart. Yet, no
matter what you do, how much you care or how much you try, there
is an end to the fun and games. But the time we have with our
pets makes it worth it and you can know they had a happy life,
so there are no regrets. I just wish we had a little more time
with our babies.
