Uploading Pictures for Posting
There are a few ways to upload pictures for posting within your messages. It's really NOT that hard.
How it Works
Your picture is simply a file. A digital camera or scanner captures these photos and puts them in digital format. The most common format is JPEG, and the file extension is usually ".jpg" or sometimes ".jpeg". Your camera or scanner or photo software should have instructions on how to save your picture as a JPEG.
If you already have personal webspace, or a photo-host provider, and your pictures are already on the internet, skip ahead to Step 2. If you are brand new to posting pictures, you can use the Talk Pets! uploader. Read on...
Method 1: Using picture attachments
1) Images are limited to 80 KB in size
2) Images must be a valid .jpg or .gif file. The filename must have "yourfilename.jpg" with .jpg or .gif in lower case. .JPG and .GIF will not work, but .jpg and .gif will.
OK, ready to post pictures? Here we go...
3) Make a post

4) Click on the paper clip button. This is for the "manage attachments" function. It will open up a window to find the picture on your computer. Find your picture and click "OK"

4. After you have uploaded your picture, click on close this window, and if your picture meets the size and filetype requirements, it will be included in your post.
Method 2: Posting a picture from another source
When you make a post, the message board knows how to find your picture when you click on the image toolbar icon. Fortunately, there is a quick button that will automatically do this.
1) When you post...type your text, then when you are at the place where you want to insert the picture...click on the yellow mountain "image" button:

2) A dialog box will come up. If you know the location of your file, type it here. This works for pictures hosted on your webspace or image hosts like photobucket. Note, that if you use a third-party picture host, sometimes they will not allow remote linking due to bandwidth restrictions. Check with your personal web host or photo provider if you get a red "x".

3) The editor will find your image and insert it - ready for posting!
5. Click on the "submit" button and you have done it! - Congrats!
Good luck and happy posting!
